Creator's notes
First I have to say,that I enjoy making a comic such as this,if only there wasn't so much lack of time in the world. -sigh- :P.
I cant exactly say what got me interested in making this comic.I think it was when I had a conversation with my friend in class about a drawing that I did [which was Genki]and she told me,"You should make a comic out of that."And so I did,the idea of making a comic came to me in the year of 2002.Though the process was very slow,I only had rough drafts of the pages,even so,with all the crappy boxing and pictures,people liked it;they even liked the first page of it too.
I asked for some help with friends on names[Cause I am Horrible with names.] Then week by week,ideas for names started to flow into my head.
How names came to be
At the time with names,I wanted to call Genki,"Gekiryu" which means,"violent,torrent stream"[Thanks for the help Mike ^^;].
I thought,maybe I would stick with that,since it had the "ryu" sound at the end.Then I got a hold of the anime,Zenki[or Great Demon Prince Zenki,I forgot the original title.]I really loved that anime,I even like the main char,Zenki.After watching that anime,I started to call Gekiryu,Genki by accident,because Geki and Zenki were a like in a way,so I decided from there,that Geki would be called Genki;which means "energy".I still keep both names though,since I really didnt want to disregard either one ^^;
Next came Kouji,I was going to name him,Koukatsu for the meaning of "sly".Once again..I decided on a name change for him,lol.I had remembered Kouji from Fushigi Yugi,and how the character just sent me falling down to the floor laughing with his talking to himself act.
I really liked that guy and his name as well,so I decided to give it to Koukatsu instead.I also kept both names as well,since one was a meaning for his personality[sly] and the other for just remembering that crack head Kouji.
Last,came the little brother of them all,Meiji.Now..he was a tricky little guy,I Really couldnt think of a name for him.I wanted a name that represented him or had a meaning towards him.I looked through various Japanese name sites and found one that sounded real cute.It was Meiji,it which it means "enlightened government" or "enlightened ruler",I find that rather funny to me,lol.I also gave Meiji a little nickname for him,that probably wont be mentioned in the comic at all.Remembering back in the Japan history,I was reminded of that one era called Meiji Era.Whenever I say "Meiji Era" it comes out to saying "Meiji Error".Why did I come up with that? Because Meiji took me a damn week to put together,lol x.x;
The other two brothers only took a day,darn that little Meiji.
How the brothers were created
The basic character that I started off with,was Genki himself.Then I worked my way up to making the elder brother and then the little brother.My main goal for the brothers was to not make them look alike so much,but just have different hair styles altogether.Along with different height,age,and of course personality.The only thing that makes them look a like,is their hair color.Genki and Kouji are the only two to have the same color of eyes just like their father's.Meiji is the only one to have the eyes of his mother.
Title change
For some who have noticed,I had to change the title of the comic,for something better.I will say this though,I did get the title from a song.Ive also talked with my friends and they say that the title "Between Sin & Sacrifice" seems more fitting,especially with the type of world and descisions the brothers go through.Crimson-Black Dream was good...but I think someone has the name "Crimson Dream".So bleh,so much for being original,lol.

The layout was created with the help of Photoshop 7.0,no brushes were used at all for this layout.And of course the drawing the brothers were done by me :P
